Not very often at all do we at Game Versus Life get a chance to preview a game before its release, but today I got an invite to check out an alpha build of PixelJunk Monsters Social. After playing around with it for about an hour, I'm rather enjoying it.
If you've played PixelJunk Monsters on PlayStation3 or PSP, then you'll already be quite familiar with the social version. It's the essence of the original PJM boiled down to much more concise experience. The levels are smaller in scale, and there are fewer waves.
But rather than blathering on about it, I'll offer up some screenshots:
As an old PixelJunk Monsters fan, I'm excited to see this game find a new home on the social networks (looks like Facebook). I've always thought that it was just the sort of game that could have some mainstream appeal, and Q Games appears to be modifying the original game in all the right ways to make it work on the web.
What do you guys think?
